A Fox Amongst The Pigeons

I started my original blog up for similar reasoning to this one; to encourage me to wear more of my clothes, to experiment, to gain confidence and I did, for a time. I also discovered, which at the time was quite a surprise to me, that I harboured quite a love for orange. It wasn't until I noticed it cropping up over and over in outfit posts that I realised I actually owned quite a lot of this colour I'd always felt quite non-committal around and I liked it. I love this dress. I would wear this outfit again and again if I could, in fact I did back then. I wore it to death. The long sleeved top has gone, worn out, though I may look into getting a replacement at some point. I'm holding off for now, until I've better established what I actually need in my wardrobe as I am trying to be very mindful about what I'm bringing in to my wardrobe now. The coat too has gone, along with the bag, tights, socks and boots. The dress too went. Almost. It made it as far as a 'rework/upcycle' pile in my studio for a couple of years before sneaking back into my wardrobe despite the myriad pulls because I just wasn't ready to let it go. The pieces remaining now are those that truly made the outfit; the dress, the jewelry and the belt. I'll be recreating this outfit 2021 style later this year, I'm envisaging autumnal blazing orange leaves. I've included some extra photos this time around that didn't make the final cut last time; I didn't like how my face looked, or my posture, they were too dark and I didn't know how to lighten them, or I was trying to stick to a prescribed number of photos per post; creating rules and boundaries where none needed to be. That's something I do often.
